DJ Big 6 was introduced into the entertainment industry at an early age, by his father. This South Carolina DJ began singing in his church and school choir, as well as performing in talent shows.
In 1992 DJ Big 6 career began to flourish, after DJing his high school graduation. While obtaining a degree at The University of Tennessee, he further fined tuned his craft by DJing fraternities, sororities and other organization events in Knoxville.
In order to expand his reach, DJ Big 6 ran the East Tennessee Record Pool which allowed him to make connections with Death Row, SO SO Def, Def Jam, No Limit, Sony and Columbia just to name a few.
While promoting for the Puff Daddy & The Family “No Way” Tour, DJ Big 6 could be seen breaking Master P, Lil Jon, and Trick Daddy music.
Big 6 Productions LLC was formed in the early 2000s, breaking his artist 2 Deep. 2 Deep had the regional successful hit song “Ridin’ In My Cadillac,” which allowed him to open up for artists such as Nappy Roots, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Cee Lo Green, and Juvenile.
Some of DJ Big 6 accomplishments include being nominated for an SCM Award for Best Mixtape DJ and his video which was featured on the Nicki Minaj’s documentary shown on LOGO and E! TV.
DJ Big 6 is affiliated with Pure Truth DJs, Nerve DJs, and Empire DJs.
National Society of Black Engineer Conference, Theta Chi Spring Ball, Comcast Christmas Party, Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante are just some of the corporate events DJ Big 6 has been a part of. He also provides sounds and videography for weddings, graduations, and other engagements under Big 6 Productions LLC.
