JL: My interested in music, began at an early age. During the Christmas holidays, my mother use to make us perform, before we could open up our gifts. I would always sing something of Michael Jackson.
Eventually, I would perform at family reunions and at any gatherings we had.
PT: What was the process like working with Fred The Godson on “Put You On,” and how did you two (2) connect?
JL: Working with Fred the Godson was easy, we sent him the music and we had the song back in less than twenty-four (24) hours.
I was able to connect with Fred The Godson, due to a previous relationship my manager Dre, had with him.
PT: I heard that you write your our music, when did you start writing and how long did it take you to write, “Put You On?”
JL: I started writing and seriously began to focus on singing, at the age of eleven (11). For “Put You On,” I wrote a little bit of the song and the rest just flowed out. The song moved me.
PT: How would you describe your style?
JL: My style is versatile, unique and you can’t really put me into a category. I can deliver music, in so many ways.
PT: Any touring lined up?
JL: We are working on a promo tour, starting from South Carolina to Boston.
Currently, we do not have a performance tours set up.
PT: What are you most proud of with your career right now?
JL: I am most proud of the opportunities, I have had to work with some amazing people, from Fred The Godson, Manolo Rose and Maino who is a veteran in the game.
PT: What can we expect from you, in the next six (6) months?
JL: Look out for the video for my single “Foreign,” featuring Manolo Rose, who is currently working on signing a deal with Rock Nation.
Also, we will be releasing my Extended Play (EP) project #NoLoveLost.
PT: What would you tell up and coming artists to watch out for?
Watch out for people who make promise, you cant get excited for people who are name dropping and go out there and do your research on everything. Understand and study your career.
