Monday January 16, 2016 – Denise Katrina Matthews who is known as Vanity, has died at the age of fifty-seven (57). She was the led singer of the girl’s group Vanity 6.
The singer was addicted to drugs and once overdosed on crack cocaine. The overdose led to the beginning stages of kidney failure. In 1997, she received a kidney transplant.
She vowed to change her life and began public speaking and evangelizing.
Vanity died of sclerosis encapsulating peritonitis, which is a form of kidney disease.
